A Traditional, Elegant Wedding at St. James Roman Catholic Church

Brynn & Dave had a traditional big wedding at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank, NJ, followed by a stunning reception at the Molly Pitcher Inn. This fun-loving couple brought so much energy and joy to their special day, celebrating with their closest friends and family. From getting ready with their best friends to dancing the night away, every moment was filled with laughter and love. Keep reading to see all of the beautiful moments we captured together.

Brynn & Dave’s Elegant Wedding at St. James Church + Molly Pitcher Inn

Getting Ready

Their wedding day began at the Molly Pitcher Inn, a historical boutique hotel and venue with Parisian-esque decor incorporated into its modern aesthetic. Both Brynn and Dave got ready separately, surrounded by their best friends in absolutely gorgeous spaces. I loved the intricate wallpaper and took the opportunity to capture some detail shots I knew the couple would treasure. The lighting was also perfect—soft and romantic, coming from a beautiful mixture of vintage light fixtures and natural sunlight. I always love this part of the day because I get to capture the subtle moments of excitement everyone feels before the big celebration begins.

Bride and Groom First Look at St. James Church

After getting ready, we headed to the church for Brynn and Dave’s private first look. I was ecstatic about his reaction and am so glad I captured the look on his face! He was absolutely stunned and in awe of his beautiful bride—it was priceless. One thing about these two: they are so smiley! Every photo radiated pure joy, and it was just so lovely to witness. I captured so many candid moments between them and also guided them through more posed portraits. I really loved the photos of the two of them underneath her veil—it looked so beautiful with the sunlight peeking through.

Traditional Wedding Ceremony at St. James Roman Catholic Church

To start off, St. James is one of the most stunning churches I have photographed couples in. It is grand yet intimate, with the most gorgeous stained glass windows and painted ceilings. I am a sucker for architecture, and this made me so excited. Their ceremony was all of the things—fun, lighthearted, emotional, and so much more. I captured so many photos of the two of them saying their vows, their families in prayer, the congratulatory walk back up the aisle, and so much laughter! We of course did the iconic walk outside of the church where the bridal parties were waiting to celebrate. They even drove off in this gorgeous blue vintage car together!

Surprise Reception Dress Reveal

Brynn had a second first look with her bridal party and parents present to show off her stunning dress change. She went for a more modern, sexy look that everyone absolutely loved! We had the reveal on this beautiful patio area overlooking the water at the Molly Pitcher Inn. I had a blast capturing these photos because the vibes were simply incredible. Everyone was so hyped up to see Brynn, and they had so much fun taking photos together and playing around. We incorporated some natural props into the photos, like the fans for all of the bridesmaids and drinks for all of the guys. This portion of the day really set the tone for what was to come later!

Classy Bride and Groom Portraits

After the big reveal of Brynn’s second dress, I pulled the couple aside during cocktail hour to grab a few portraits at the Molly Pitcher Inn. We captured some photos inside in this beautifully styled nook with a sofa near the staircase. The sun peeked through the windows and lit up the area perfectly. We also got photos outside on the patio, where I shot some fun motion photos that I absolutely loved how they turned out!

Fun Wedding Reception at The Molly Pitcher Inn

Following cocktail hour was the most insane (in a good way) wedding reception I’ve seen. Brynn and Dave both don’t mind the spotlight and really wanted to have a good time not only for themselves, but for their guests as well. When they entered the ballroom, everyone went absolutely wild—they had practiced a dance move earlier in the day where Dave picks her up, and it really blew everyone away. The whole night was filled with SO much dancing; it was incredible. They had speeches, champagne toasts, a slideshow that was shown to all the guests, and my personal favorite—a singing debut from the bride herself. Fun fact: Brynn is actually a singer in a band, and she sang a few songs and dedicated one to Dave. It was a huge hit with the guests and truly made the experience unforgettable!

A Love Note From The Newlyweds

Brynn and Dave left me the kind of message that all photographers love to hear:

“We are absolutely BLOWN away so far like holy guacamoleeeeee 🤣 😂 We are like how the heck are we going to pick which ones to hang on the wall and which ones to put in this album lol We LOVEEEEE them.”

My goal is to nail your pictures to the point where you can’t even decide which ones are your favorites. It’s truly the best kind of problem to have!

I had the absolute best time capturing Brynn and Dave’s wedding day! These two booked my 10-hour wedding day coverage, and we also worked together on their engagement session and Brynn’s boudoir shoot beforehand, so by the time their big day rolled around we were already so comfortable with each other.

From the stunning venues to the non-stop dancing, this wedding truly had it all. I loved being able to document every part of their day—from getting ready with their best friends to that incredible second dress reveal, all the way through Brynn’s surprise singing performance at the reception. Days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do! I’m currently booking weddings for 2027, so if you’re planning your big day and want photos that capture all the joy and energy like Brynn and Dave’s, reach out and let’s chat!
