L & J’s Vibrant Coastal Wedding in Asbury Park, NJ
Getting Ready at The Asbury Ocean Club Hotel
The couple started their day by getting ready separately – him at home, while she got ready with her girls at the Ocean Club Hotel. The vibes were fun and easygoing, creating a calm atmosphere before the big moment. Something I absolutely love about this gallery is all of the laughter! From the very beginning of the day, their families set the tone with so many genuine smiles on their faces. I captured all those sweet pre-wedding rituals: the girls sharing drinks, getting hair and makeup done, and helping the bride with her finishing touches – it was all so heartwarming to witness!
A Laughter-filled First Look
After spending the morning apart, they met for their first look at the Asbury Convention Hall. The look on their faces was absolutely to die for! They looked completely engrossed with one another, like there was nobody else around – just the two of them sharing a perfect moment in time. We also found our way outside onto the boardwalk, where we captured some super cool photos with her veil while onlookers cheered them on! We briefly stopped outside of The Stone Pony for more posed bridal portraits that I absolutely loved. Upon arriving at the venue, she had a sweet first look with her father while J spent some quality time with his best man over drinks.
The Intimate Ceremony
The couple said their vows on the front porch of The St. Laurent Social Club. Due to the rain, they shifted there from the original pool area location, which honestly worked out even better! Everyone was so close to the “altar,” so even though they had a larger wedding of 85-90 people, it felt wonderfully intimate having everyone gathered so close while they exchanged their heartfelt vows. Speaking of their vows – they were absolutely incredible! So many genuine laughs and a few happy tears were shed throughout the ceremony. It was truly a day to remember.
Lively Reception at The St. Laurent Social Club
The reception that followed was nothing short of amazing! They opted to have different food stations and passed rounds of hors d’oeuvres throughout the night instead of a traditional sit-down dinner. This part of the evening was filled with even more laughter and tons of mingling between friends and families. They also had their speeches and first dance, which I thought were the most special parts of the night. The speeches were honestly the best I’ve heard so far – they truly reflected how close they were with each other’s families.
