Jordan and Nick had a big, beautiful wedding surrounded by those they love most at ICONA Diamond Beach in NJ. It was such a joyful day—their love for one another is so fun and beautiful, and their special day was the perfect reflection of them. They absolutely loved their beach location and were so excited to finally tie the knot after falling in love way back in high school. Keep reading to see how their day unfolded!
Elevated Coastal Wedding at Oceanfront Hotel
Getting Ready
The couple got ready separately at the venue’s on-site hotel. They both had huge bridal parties that were so much fun to be around! I captured so many sweet moments—from the girls getting their makeup done, exchanging gifts, and having a toast, to helping the bride with her finishing touches. I even snapped a few photos of the bride attaching a pin of someone special on the inside of her dress. We took the guys out to the balcony for their photos, where I got some cool shots of the groom receiving help with his own finishing touches, plus plenty of documentary-style, candid moments of them having a drink and enjoying fun group photos.
Before the ceremony, Jordan & Nick opted out of a first look and exchanged letters that they read separately. Their reactions were so sweet and definitely unforgettable!
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony On The Beach
Their ceremony was right on the beach. It was overcast and a little windy, but I actually thought the wind made it so beautiful! Watching her walk down the aisle felt so grand because of all the open space, and it was amazing with her veil blowing in the wind. My favorite moment of the ceremony was when they did a prayer over the couple—their guests put their hands towards them, and it was so heartwarming.
Fun Bride & Groom Photos
After the ceremony, we snuck away to take some bride and groom photos. We started on the beach, where it was still very windy, so Jordan’s dress and veil looked so stunning and flowy in the wind. Her veil actually kept blowing in Nick’s face, so we intentionally put the veil on his face for a funny photo. I love moments like this with couples because even though it’s not a traditional photo we planned for, it will be a memory they’ll look back on and smile.
For the second half of the photos, we did super fun flash photography in their hotel room later on in the day. We incorporated some props, like sunglasses for the bride and champagne. It was very lighthearted, and their personalities really shone through the photos.
Lively Wedding Reception at ICONA Diamond Beach
The reception was absolutely stunning and perfectly matched the elevated coastal wedding vibe they were going for. They had all white decor—from table linens to floral arrangements—with candles lining the tables. They had everything you could expect and more: grand entrances, speeches, dancing, cake cutting, and so much fun. They created so many core memories that their families will remember forever.
