A Bridgerton Themed Content Day at Elkins Estate

I have done my share of styled shoots during my time as a photographer, but this Bridgerton-themed content day at Elkins Estate is truly indescribable. The whole experience, from the elaborate setups to the stunning details, was nothing short of amazing. The photos captured an elegant era brought to life. Keep reading to step back in time with this 1800s styled shoot that will transport you to a world of masquerade balls, afternoon tea, and royal elegance.

Styled Shoot at Elkins Estate, PA

I was so honored to have attended this styled shoot at Elkins Estate hosted by Aislinn Rose Photography and Evviva Studio. There was so much room for creativity throughout the four different themes, and not a single photo was short of amazing. The hosts chose this magnificent venue due to its upscale and elevated feel that perfectly complemented the Bridgerton-inspired concept. It truly felt like we were on the set of Bridgerton in the early 1800s, stepping back in time to an era of elegance and refinement. We had several talented models and many passionate photographers, who were all so amazing to work with. Their collaborative spirit and dedication were an integral part of what made this content day so special!

Afternoon Tea

Our first concept was Afternoon Tea, a charming recreation of a Bridgerton-era social gathering. They had this gorgeous setup – a long table decorated with crisp white tablecloths, vibrant floral arrangements, comfy cushions for guests to sit on, and vintage china, which elegantly displayed the assorted pastries and teas. The rentals from Boho and Magnolia added that perfect touch of authenticity to the scene. For this portion, we had a model couple who really brought their personalities to the table. They interacted with such natural chemistry – eating and laughing, feeding each other delicate treats, and sharing tender glances. I loved capturing the small details of their interactions that truly brought this tea party scene to life.

Getting Ready

Our next theme was Getting Ready, a scene that truly transported us to what felt like Daphne Bridgerton’s dressing room before her wedding day. The architecture of the walls at Elkins Estate was spot on for that time period – you could really feel the history there. Our elegant model was dressed perfectly from head to toe in Regency era attire. We had a stunning wedding gown displayed on a mannequin and many authentic props you would find in a royal’s dressing room – velvet hangers, delicate accessories and jewelry, and luxurious fabrics and robes. Our model wore the appropriate undergarments for that time period, featuring a meticulously detailed corset, a cage crinoline that gave that signature silhouette, and lace gloves to tie everything together. The hair and makeup by Mobile Beauty Services LLC nailed that historical look we were going for.

The Masquerade

My favorite theme of the shoot was the Masquerade set. I love all things moody – the candles, the ambiance, the mystery of it all. We also had a model couple for this portion of the shoot, dressed in stunning attire from Demure Bridal. We captured photos of them at the bottom of the grand staircase, which wasn’t originally part of the plan but ended up being an amazing opportunity! Then we followed them as they walked up to meet their gorgeous candlelit dinner setup by Lilac and Lace Co. This entire set was also visible across the way, where I took these stunning photos of the couple in the archways of the hall – the perspective through those historic arches with the flickering candlelight in the background was simply breathtaking. The masks and dramatic lighting created such a romantic, mysterious atmosphere that felt straight out of a Bridgerton masquerade ball.

Let Them Eat Cake

Our last theme was “Let Them Eat Cake”. If you’ve ever seen a scene with Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton, you know she was always holding extravagant parties, tea times, and events featuring the most elaborate desserts, in particular, cakes! This room at Elkins Estate looked exactly like it was pulled straight from the show. There was so much gold detailing throughout, as well as a gorgeous fireplace, plush velvet sofa, and sparkling chandelier. They decorated the space with the same stunning florals from Woodland Floral Design Co. used earlier and various tiered cakes created by New June Bakery. We had the model dressed in a modern spin of 1800s attire, while she interacted with the delicious pastries. The way she delicately sampled the treats and posed with the cakes captured that perfect balance of royal elegance and playful indulgence that makes the Bridgerton aesthetic so appealing.

This styled shoot at Elkins Estate was truly an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. From the elegant afternoon tea to the mysterious masquerade, every moment was packed with inspiration and beauty. The moody candlelight, the ornate details, the playful interactions between our models – these elements created photographs that feel both timeless and alive with emotion.

As your photographer, I’m drawn to these same qualities in every love story I capture. I’m passionate about finding those perfect moments – the way you look at each other when you think no one’s watching, the gentle touch of hands, the candle-lit ambiance that transforms an ordinary space into something magical. My style embraces that perfect balance of timeless nostalgia with a touch of moody romance and, yes, even a little spice.

Whether you’re planning a wedding with Bridgerton-inspired elegance or your own unique vision, I bring a creative and open approach to every session. I’m not just there to document your day – I’m there to help you express your unique connection in images that will transport you back to these feelings for decades to come.

If you connect with the mood and emotion in these images, we might be the perfect match for your special day. Feel free to browse my blogs to see more of my style or skip straight to my contact form – I’d love to hear about your vision and start creating something magical together!
