These Pride and Prejudice-inspired engagement photos were so much fun to create! Lisa and Adam were both incredibly easygoing and equally involved in the creative process. Keep reading to see how their session turned out!
Outdoor Engagement Photos in North Jersey
The scenery for Lisa and Adam’s session was nothing short of perfect. The weather was overcast, which was ideal for the romantic vibe they were going for. We had tons of beautiful greenery and gorgeous stone structures to work with, including stone stairs and bridge walls that felt like they were straight out of the novel itself. They chose this concept because they’re both outdoorsy people who love to take hikes and go on bike rides together. Their love feels a lot like Pride and Prejudice, so we incorporated tons of nods to the movie and book throughout their shoot.
I’ve never done a session inspired by this before, so everything felt very unique and true to them as a couple. We brought along a copy of the Pride and Prejudice book as a prop and even picked fresh flowers from the location to add those authentic, natural touches. Some of the moments I loved in particular were when she was lying on the stone bannister and when they were both under the big tree – so incredibly sweet! They actually requested specific photos featuring that tree, and I literally had to climb it myself to get some of those shots. It was totally worth it for the result!
