The love between a mother and child is a connection like no other. It’s a bond that nourishes, comforts, and endures. As a maternity and motherhood photographer, it’s an honor to capture the beauty and intimacy of that relationship. This spring, I had the joy of photographing Stephanie and her daughter Diana in a motherhood session at the charming Bountiful Gardens in Ewing, NJ.
New Jersey’s Bountiful Gardens – A Beautiful Place for Motherhood Sessions
This session was a heartfelt way for Stephanie to commemorate her daughter’s birthday and the conclusion of their two-year breastfeeding journey. As they explored the gardens together, the love and connection between mother and daughter was unmistakable. Diana held her mama’s hand and shared sweet hugs and kisses, while Stephanie savored those in-between moments of just being present with her girl.
For the nursing photos, we focused on the skin-to-skin connection as Diana reached up to touch Stephanie’s face. Capturing moments like this is a way to honor the strength of a mother’s body and the nourishment and comfort it provides. It was moving to witness this part of their lives coming to a close.
