Liz and Ethan had the most intimate LBI beach wedding, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Since they both grew up down the shore, it was only fitting that they chose to celebrate at Liz’s family home. Keep reading to see all the beautiful moments from their perfect day!
Intimate Beach Wedding
Getting Ready
The day began with Liz and Ethan getting ready separately, with Liz preparing at a quaint inn just a street away from her parents’ home. The setting was beachy yet modern – absolutely perfect for the day ahead. I captured so many sweet memories with the girls, from getting their makeup done to sharing a celebratory toast. Everyone was so excited, with huge smiles and contagious laughter filling the entire day. I also took time to capture some beautiful flatlays and detail shots of her dress. The inn had this charming little winding staircase that was absolutely perfect for dress photos.

Rooftop First Look
After everyone was ready, they headed back to Liz’s family home for their private first look. They made their way up to the roof of the home, where they could overlook the town and even catch a glimpse of the Barnegat Lighthouse in the distance. They were all smiles and giggles – you could tell they were just so happy to be there together, excited for everything that was about to unfold.

Intimate Beach Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony took place midday in the brightest sun, surrounded by those closest to them – just their immediate families, their two closest friends (one being the officiant!), and their pup! Everyone arrived by tractor, which was so fun, and then Liz made her grand entrance with her father.
The weather was absolutely perfect, even when it got extremely windy at one point. Liz’s shawl and hair were blowing beautifully in the ocean breeze – it made for the most stunning photos. Their vows were nothing short of perfect. They both teared up while making each other laugh, and even Liz’s brother got a little teary-eyed!
Right after their vows, everyone gathered for a celebratory toast and family photos. We also captured something extra special at a bench just off the beach. This spot holds such meaning for them since their families take photos there every year – it was the perfect way to honor their tradition.

Windy Beach Bride and Groom Photos
We took the bride and groom photos on the beach right after the ceremony, and I absolutely loved how these turned out! They felt so free-spirited and fun – it didn’t even feel like I was prompting them to do anything. They were just being their true selves, riding off the high of getting married, and it was awesome to capture. They even threw on some sunglasses to mix things up and add some playful vibes!

Backyard Wedding Reception
Their reception was held right at the family home, with cocktail hour and dinner beautifully spread out around the property. It was absolutely perfect! If you’re looking for backyard wedding inspiration, this is definitely one you should pull from.
Their decor was the perfect mix of neutrals with pops of vibrant colors. They had fun games like cornhole and did creative twists with their food options. I absolutely loved their ice cream bar that said “she’s been scooped up” – I thought that was so clever!
The overall atmosphere was incredible – everyone was dancing, laughing, and just having the best time. I captured so many photos of people laughing because they were all truly living in the moment and cherishing this time together.

Liz and Ethan’s LBI beach wedding was so beautiful! From their sweet first look on the rooftop with views of Barnegat Lighthouse to their ceremony right on the beach, the whole day was just filled with laughter and happy tears. My favorite shots were definitely all the candid moments – grandma dancing, everyone cracking up during the ceremony, and their moms holding hands during speeches. I’m such a sucker for intimate weddings where you can just feel how much everyone loves being there.
