I had the pleasure of working with Lauren and Jesse for their engagement photos at The Boathouse in Lambertville. I was so excited to capture this edgy, editorial shoot! I love that they wanted to feature their motorcycle, as riding together is one of their favorite shared activities. Their love for each other and unique style really shone through in these images. Boathouse Lambertville Engagement Shoot
Lauren and Jesse wanted their engagement shoot to truly reflect what they love to do together, which is why The Boat House in Lambertville, NJ was the perfect spot. This hidden gem is a small bar tucked away in an alley, filled with beautiful antiques and vintage touches that created an incredible atmosphere. We scheduled the session for the afternoon, allowing gorgeous beams of light to stream in while we were inside.
I captured so many authentic moments of them in their element – from sharing champagne and relaxing on the couch to interacting with some of the bar’s unique antique pieces. Some of my favorite shots were taken on the stairs, with the vintage photographs creating the perfect ambiance for their photos.
Edgy Motorcycle Engagement Photos
Lauren and Jesse love to ride motorcycles together, so what better way to represent their love than incorporating that into their engagement photos? I loved everything about this portion of the session. The poses on the motorcycle, Lauren applying her lipstick in the sideview mirror, them popping champagne while riding – it was awesome!
Their attire for this was also a vibe – he wore a grey suit and she wore a black dress with pops of red florals. For the motorcycle portion, she also wore this killer leather jacket that said “Til Death” on the back. That jacket summed up their whole relationship perfectly – edgy but so in love.

Lauren and Jesse left me this lovely message after our time together that read:
“Chrissy. We are speechless. You are so amazing. I’m so happy I found you. These are everything I imagined!”
