Larger weddings offer a unique opportunity to bring together a greater circle of family and friends, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere filled with connection and celebration. Whether you’re surrounded by a hundred cherished guests or sharing the day with a smaller, more intimate group, the heart of the day remains the same: it’s a celebration of your love, your story, and the people who uplift and support you both.
For those planning a smaller gathering, an intimate wedding generally includes up to 50 guests, allowing for a day shared deeply and purposefully with those closest to you. Microweddings tend to have fewer than 20 guests, while elopements often focus solely on you and your partner. These more intimate celebrations create space for slowing down, savoring the little moments, and living your day with intention.
No matter the size of your wedding, the value of the day lies in its personal and profound meaning. I reached out to Chrissy immediately after my now husband and I decided to elope. My husbands mom was ill and we knew we wanted her at our wedding so we eloped on early January. I had reached out to Chrissy as soon as December hit and she was beyond kind and understanding of our situation. She was so flexible and amazing as our month of planning suddenly turned into planning a small and intimate wedding in two weeks.
The day of our wedding, of course there was a massive snowstorm in New York where we were getting married. Chrissy took her own initiative and drove herself up to New York after already shooting a wedding that day & got herself an Airbnb, making sure she was there for our special day and asked for NO compensation for doing so.
Chrissy was amazing, never rushed us, and took her time. She was kind to all of our family and friends, and above all made every moment of our day was captured. The sweetest and most caring individual I have ever met. I am so grateful to have the photos from our day to hold onto forever.
I already know I will be using her to capture all of our future milestone events.
