Their natural chemistry made the entire shoot flow effortlessly, allowing me to document them completely in their element. What struck me most was how beautifully in tune they were with each other – I witnessed countless side glances, smiles, and little shared private moments and giggles. Classy Vintage Engagement Photos at Logan Inn
Alex and Nick came to me looking for classy, upscale engagement photos with a touch of intimate, vintage vibes. Logan Inn in New Hope, PA was the perfect place to carry out their vision. The Inn itself has so much to offer – from the actual inn section where you can stay overnight to multiple dining and bar options within the property. The entire space is very elevated, with both vintage and modern decor throughout their different rooms and spaces. Best of all, the Inn tied in an important memory for the couple. Since they first met at a pool hall, shooting in the Inn’s downstairs pool area created the perfect nostalgic atmosphere for their session.
The Moody Cigar Lounge
We began in the cigar lounge during the day, where stunning light came streaming in. I really loved it in there due to all the upscale, elevated vintage aspects – there was leather and wood throughout. We played around with the furniture in the room, utilizing the couches and the library-style ladder. I really loved the pictures we got in here, especially a few of Alex grabbing Nick by his tie which made for both some playful and steamy shots.
The Stunning Pool Room And Lounge
We moved to the pool room a little later, which was slightly more modern than the cigar lounge but still had this stunning checkered flooring and red accents that gave off that vintage vibe. One of the most creative shots of the night was actually taken here – there was a photo displayed on the wall that they wanted to recreate, and it turned out to be everything and more. I really loved that we could think of things on the spot that made for such amazing results. I love spontaneous moments like this because they truly make a couple stand out in their photos.
Their Timeless Outfits
One of my favorite parts of this session was how perfectly their outfits matched both locations while staying true to their personalities. Alex chose two stunning outfits that captured different vibes for each space. In the cigar lounge, she wore a long silky dress with an open back and slit, paired with high sparkly heels with a bow – the perfect blend of elegance and glamour. When we moved downstairs, she changed into a short dress with a bow-like off-shoulder top and the short veil I provided. She said she felt like a cupcake and was especially excited that the dress was actually skorts! Nick kept it classic throughout the session in a black suit and tie. You can never go wrong with that timeless look.
Fun Props Throughout The Inn
Rather than bringing lots of props to the session, we had fun incorporating all the unique elements that Logan Inn already had to offer! From the vintage phone in the cigar lounge to the pool table accessories downstairs, each space gave us perfect items to play with. We also took advantage of the wine bottles in their cellar and even a luggage cart for some creative shots. I only brought along one prop – a mini veil that added the perfect touch to some of Alex’s photos.
