Kritzia and Andrew’s at home maternity photos were such a sweet moment to capture. With their baby girl arriving soon, they wanted to document this precious chapter together. Keep reading to see some cozy maternity photoshoot ideas!
Winter Maternity Photoshoot Ideas At Home
While we initially planned an outdoor city session, the cold weather led us to switch to an indoor shoot at their home – a decision that couldn’t have worked out better! Their space was wonderfully cozy, and since Kritzia was in her third trimester, it was much more comfortable for her to move around in a familiar environment. As a mama myself, I know how important it is to keep mama and baby comfortable during those last months!

We used several rooms in their home for these indoor maternity pictures. The nursery was a highlight with a beautiful white crib and soft pink and white bedding. We also spent time in their living room, where I got to capture some fun moments of them playing Mario Party together! What I love most about home sessions is seeing couples totally relaxed in their own space, where they can just be themselves. Kritzia and Andrew were so incredibly comfortable and so much fun! They had such an ease between them – everything was simultaneously sweet and loving while also being hilarious and lighthearted. They took turns admiring each other – especially Andrew with the way he would gaze at Kritzia. They truly love each other deeply, and are so eager to share that love with their little girl.

Their outfits worked so well with the cozy vibe. Kritzia wore a casual but beautiful white set, with the long-sleeve top unbuttoned to show her baby bump. Andrew kept it simple in jeans and a white tee, which matched perfectly with Kritzia’s outfit.

As winter approaches, having photos taken inside can be extra special and cozy! Many couples already have their homes decorated warmly for the season, which adds such a beautiful touch. And while I love capturing maternity sessions anywhere, there’s something really meaningful about documenting this chapter in the place where your family will share so many memories together.
Having photos at home lets you be totally natural in your own space and show off the nursery you’ve poured your heart into. Plus, you’ll be completely comfortable – which is so important during pregnancy!
