As a mama to one myself, motherhood photos are one of my absolute favorite parts of life to photograph. Capturing the moments between mothers and their babies, especially during those precious breastfeeding seasons, is the biggest honor. It is truly such a privilege to get to witness some of life’s most special moments at my NJ photography studio. And I can’t get over how much I love L&E’s intimate motherhood session. The Sweetest NJ Private Studio Motherhood Photos
When this sweet first-time mama initially came to me for her newborn holiday session, I knew these were moments she’d treasure forever. So when I announced I was opening a private studio for intimate motherhood photos, she immediately knew she wanted to capture her motherhood and breastfeeding journey.
There’s something so powerful about a mother’s desire to freeze these moments in time. Your body creates life, nourishes your child, and forms a bond that’s completely unique to you and your baby. Being able to capture this sacred time through motherhood photography is truly an honor.
For their session, we created a cozy, intimate atmosphere in my private studio with simple props – a bed draped in neutral linens, a tall mirror, soft glowing candles, and a comfortable chair. The setting allowed us to capture those everyday moments that make motherhood so beautiful – tender snuggles, playful tickles, curious mirror games, and peaceful nursing sessions.
For our shoot, she wore neutral, light colors that perfectly complemented my studio’s environment. She looked effortlessly beautiful in shorts, tube socks, and an oversized shirt with a bralette, while her little one wore an adorable diaper cover. The simplicity of their outfits kept the focus exactly where it should be – on their incredible bond and connection.
