Citi Bike Engagement Photos in NYC
I quickly came to learn that Gabby & Giuseppe are both super fun and easy-going, which is exactly how they wanted their engagement photos to feel. The first half of their session was a Citi Bike ride around NYC! They fully trusted me to guide them through the session, so we began warming them up with some posed shots on the parked bikes. I really loved the shots of them kissing with the motion of city-goers walking by in the background. I captured plenty of different angles—her on the front, her on the back, and them riding separately. If you’ve ever seen The Notebook, think of this as a modern interpretation of that iconic bike scene!
Central Park Engagement Session
For the second portion of their engagement session, we headed to Central Park to catch some shade and gorgeous scenery (did I mention it was blazing hot that day?). I had them pose under a big tree with sunlight peeking through the leaves, and the natural lighting was absolutely dreamy. We also incorporated a paper parasol into the shoot, and I loved how it added to the romantic vibes! They both fed off of each other’s energy throughout the entire shoot—looking at each other for reassurance and encouraging one another at every turn. It was so sweet to witness!
