As a wedding and couples photographer in New Jersey, I’m always excited to work with clients who want to create something unique and memorable. When R + L approached me with their vision for an Old Hollywood-styled shoot, I couldn’t wait to bring their ideas to life.
Capturing the Romance and Elegance of Old Hollywood
From the moment we started planning, it was clear that the couple wanted their photoshoot to be filled with vintage-inspired elegance. We chose LD Studio in South River, NJ as our location, which provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate session.
The couple’s chemistry was undeniable as they posed in their carefully coordinated attire, which perfectly captured the essence of Old Hollywood glamour. Her Louboutin pumps and pearl earrings added a touch of elegance, while her partner’s vintage-inspired suit completed the look. We started with some getting-ready photos, capturing the excitement and anticipation as they prepared for the shoot.
Next, we moved on to an editorial-style portion of the shoot on a tufted velvet couch, showcasing her legs and heels. The mood was both intimate and elevated, with every detail carefully planned to evoke the romance of Old Hollywood.
A Candlelit Celebration of Love
As the shoot progressed, we transitioned to a beautifully decorated area with a cake and champagne. The couple slow danced in the ambient light of the candles, sharing soft kisses and reveling in their love for one another.
One of my favorite moments was when they sat down to enjoy their cake, toasting with champagne and creating memories that will last a lifetime. As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I strive to capture these candid, intimate moments that truly showcase a couple’s connection.
Throughout the shoot, I incorporated digital photography techniques to add a timeless, nostalgic feel to the images. The vintage-inspired aesthetic created a soft, dreamy quality that perfectly suited their vision, transporting them back to the glamorous era of Old Hollywood.
