Adapting to the Weather for Stunning Snowy Engagement Photos
They had originally planned for their engagement session to take place at Hartshorn Woods Park, but Mother Nature had other plans. With rain and snow in the forecast, we pivoted and chose the Asbury Hotel as our backdrop. This couple’s ability to go with the flow and stay true to themselves was a testament to their genuine love and connection.
The hotel provided the perfect setting for an intimate engagement session, with its cozy cafe, vintage vinyl record area, and charming bar. Their willingness to be themselves and enjoy each other’s company made for some truly authentic and heartwarming moments.
Capturing Intimate Moments in Documentary-Style Engagement Photography
Throughout the shoot, I focused on capturing the little moments that told the couple’s unique love story. From sipping coffee under the warm glow of lantern lighting to playing board games in the bar area, every moment was a reflection of their deep connection and affection for one another.
One of my favorite moments was when the bride-to-be climbed into a tree near the lake, showcasing the pair’s love for nature and their playful spirits. As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I strive to create images that tell a genuine story and showcase the couple’s personality, and these intimate engagement photos were no exception.
