If you’ve ever heard “Easy” by The Commodores, this couples photoshoot captures that feeling perfectly. The iconic “easy like Sunday morning” mood was the inspiration behind this intimate session. We wanted to create a cozy yet sexy atmosphere that reflects those slow, peaceful mornings between a couple. A & B were incredible to work with—they gave me complete creative freedom while bringing their natural chemistry and connection to every shot! Keep reading to see how this laid-back, romantic home session turned out.
Creative Couple Photo Ideas
As I mentioned, this couple gave me full creative reign for their session, allowing me to put my artistic vision to work. Since we wanted to capture that calm Sunday morning essence, we incorporated various props to create different intimate scenarios.
We started with them listening to records together—the classics, of course. This scene was playful and fun, but still carried those steamy moments between laughs and meaningful glances.
They also enjoyed a “coffee date” scenario where they read books and chatted over freshly brewed coffee. This is where the shoot began to take on a more intimate feeling. At the beginning of our session, they both wore jeans with open button-down shirts, with A wearing a bralette underneath. During the coffee date portion, they shared some kisses and tender moments that naturally evolved into her playfully removing her shirt and them slow dancing together.
This led us to the bedroom portion where A changed into a different outfit—a cozy white sweater and CK undies. They both also wore bathrobes that perfectly captured that lazy Sunday morning vibe. I captured so many shots of them being playful with each other, along with sweet kisses and glances. I especially love the shot where she jumps on the bed—it’s like a beautiful reminder to always bring out that playful side in a relationship.
We concluded with our final concept—a romantic, candlelit card game. What better way to end a lazy Sunday than playing cards with your significant other? I really loved this part because it added wonderful diversity to their gallery. The play with shadows and light during this scene tapped into the more steamy, romantic side of their connection.
