Natalie and Gianna had the most intimate and beautiful NYC elopement at the Brooklyn Pier surrounded by their closest friends and family. They came to me through a fellow photographer who connected them with my offer to photograph queer couples free of charge before our nation’s latest transition of power. Their love was palpable – they simply couldn’t wait to be married. Surrounded by their best friends and Natalie’s uncle, who brought along his classic car for photos, they created a day that was truly something special.
Classic Car Wedding Photos In NYC
The first part of our shoot started with something extra special – Natalie’s uncle brought his classic car! The car was this gorgeous reddish-brown color that looked perfect against the city scenery, and we parked on a street where you could see the Brooklyn Bridge right in the background. They had such a specific vision for their elopement and I’m honestly obsessed with how it all came together. The rain added an unexpected element of romance and gave everything a moody vibe that enhanced the whole atmosphere. I got so many amazing shots during this part, but there’s just something about the way these two look at each other that gets me every time. It’s this beautiful mix of admiration, love, respect – just everything. You can feel how in love they are with each other.
An Intimate Brooklyn Pier, NYC Elopement
For the ceremony, we gathered on the Brooklyn Pier where their two closest friends stood by their sides as bridesmaids. With the bridge in the background once again, they exchanged their beautiful and sentimental vows. Throughout the ceremony, Gianna kept reaching for Natalie’s hand and kissing it – such a tender gesture that captured their deep connection. Their choice to marry on the pier held special meaning, as they wanted to celebrate their love openly and publicly. Some of my favorite photos from this moment show them proudly displaying their rings with huge smiles on their faces.
Fun Couples Photos at Jane’s Carousel NYC
After the ceremony we moved to Jane’s Carousel. It was a nice switch up from our previous backgrounds, and even though it was gloomy from the rain, I was so happy to play around with the ambient lighting the carousel had to offer. We also grabbed a couple flash photos with their two friends! I really loved this portion of the shoot because it tapped into Natalie and Gianna’s fun side – we got a lot of movement shots of them laughing and kissing each other. It was so lighthearted and joyous.
